FAMILY FIRST

Dr. Scott grew up in West Virginia, where he earned the bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from Marshall University. He earned a second bachelor's degree and the doctorate degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia, PA, where he received a Citation for Clinical Excellence in Primary Care at the Eye Institute.  Despite his love for eye care, his true passion is spending time with his wife, Kristie, and their two boys, Justin and Andrew.  He also enjoys an occasional golf outing, target shooting, playing guitar, endless home improvement projects and working on computers.  He attends Westover Church in Greensboro and is a member of the Spears Family YMCA and Calibers indoor gun range.

Practice Philosophy

Dr. Scott's professional philosophy is to treat all patients as if they were members of his own family.  How is that possible?

It's only possible if the doctor is willing to go the extra mile - the same mile he is willing to go for his family.  That means he comes in after-hours for injuries or other serious problems.  If patients don't feel their prescription is just right, Dr. Scott keeps working with them until they are 100% satisfied.  If there is better equipment to care for the patient, he buys it.

Dr. Scott is a family doctor in practice, not just in name.

With that in mind, he continually updates and adds to his knowledge of your eyes. Some of the recent continuing education courses include the following.
